Family
Caregiver Alliance, founded in 1977, was the first
community-based nonprofit organization in the U.S. to address
the needs of families and friends providing long-term care
at home. FCA serves as a public voice for caregivers, offering
them assistance and championing their cause through education,
services, research and advocacy.
National
Family Caregivers Association represents the more
than 25 million family caregivers in this country. NFCA provides
information and education, support and validation, public
awareness and advocacy.
National
Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) is a non-profit
joint venture, created in 1996 to support family caregivers
of the elderly and the professionals who serve them. There
are three NAC partners the American Society on Aging,
the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the National Association
of Area Agencies on Aging.
